The inaugural “A Story World in 8 Days” competition is in the books!

This indeed will be a first to remember! This was an amazing experience made possible by amazing people. Thank you to both Chris Masson for suggesting, developing, and helping produce the entire competition, and to our amazing guest judge Houston Howard whose transmedia expertise and insight gave our participants invaluable feedback.

Also a huge shout out to our 8 participants. We couldn’t have asked for a better, more talented group of artists for our first competition.

You can watch or listen to the competition in it’s glorious entirety on the Story World Explorers Podcast. Find out what Theme was chosen and what team won!

What Our Guests Are Saying

“Jack and Frank are two of the sharpest, most insightful transmedia minds working today—thoughtful, curious, and genuinely good guys who pack every conversation on Storyworld Explorers with value, humor, and the kind of creative energy that makes you want to run and create something of your own. Every time I talk with them, I walk away both inspired and grateful to be part of the conversation.”

— Houston Howard - You’re Gonna Need a Bigger Story (SWE # 4)

“They took the time to read my RPG, and they understood its universe and themes perfectly. Moreover, with their unique view and deep knowledge about transmedia, they even proposed exciting ideas to expand my game's world.”

— Christian Nommay - Titian Effect (SWE #1)

“Most importantly, they educated us on the concept of transmedia, which not only provided the guardrails for our discussion, but it also caused us to think of new and interesting ways to expand our story world and make the project an easier sell to investors.”

— Neal O'Bryan & Chad Thurman - The Iron Leech (SWE #5)
